OUR NANTUCKET VACATION

“The best memories are the ones we bottle up and tuck away, for even on our darkest days they bring us back to the light.”

This Summer we were so lucky to partner with J Pepper Frazier , a premier real estate firm on the island of Nantucket, for our family vacation. Nantucket is one of the most magical places I’ve ever visited. There is something about the air there, it stays with you long after you’ve gone. Last year’s vacation was the first time we were away together as a family of four and it was an unforgettable experience. The boys spoke about going back for months and we were all so excited when we learned that it would be safe to return again this season.

This year we opted for a location closer to the center of town and JPFCO found us the perfect home. 26 Pine Street, which is available for sale and for rent, has it all: walking distance to town for shopping and dinner, a short ride to our favorite bike path to Madaket, and enough space to comfortably travel with multiple families. The house is impeccably decorated and filled with all of the elevated features one needs for a luxury experience. It was perfect! Whether you’re looking for a week to get away, a long-term stay, or a new home to call your own, 26 Pine Street is quintessentially Nantucket. Every room was filled with the most beautiful morning and afternoon light especially on the second floor. The energy was always happy and bright.

One of my favorite perks of staying in a house while on vacation is the flexibility. Meals when you want, space for naps and toys, and the comfort of being alone especially in the current climate.

The outdoor space was perfect for an early morning breakfast at home or an afternoon cocktail before dinner. Fun fact about Nantucket: NO MOSQUITOS! I don’t know if there are actually none on the island but we didn’t get a single bite the 5 days we were there. AWESOME!

SUMMER DREAMING

it was all a dream

I’m not exaggerating when I say that last year’s trip to Nantucket still fills my cup. After nearly 10 months I still think about our time there and it feels like it was yesterday. It was out first vacation as a family of four - totally solo, without grandparents or extended family. It had been a long time since Frank and I really took a break. For work and other reasons we never went on a Honeymoon or a “babymoon” so this time away felt really special. It reminded me of how important it is to step away from the hustle of our every day lives once and a while, take a break, and reconnect.

I knew from the very first time I stepped foot on the island that it was a special place. It sounds cheesy but there is just something about the air there, it’s different than being in a tropical climate, you feel grounded. We first went two summers ago when Frank’s family rented a house. We were only there for three days but somehow it felt like so much longer. I knew I wanted/needed to go back. Last Spring I reached out to J Pepper Frazier, a premier real estate firm on the island and immediately connected with the team their. They were so incredible and found the perfect home for our family - walking distance to town, bicycles for us and the boys, it even had a playroom. This year we are planning on visiting the island again in early July and staying here. 26 Pine Street, which is available for rent and for sale, is newly renovated and located in the heart of Nantucket. I feel so lucky to be partnering with JPFCO again this summer. These days I dream about it on a DAILY BASIS :)

OUR NANTUCKET VACATION

Last month I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. We partnered with J Pepper Frazier, a premier real estate firm on Nantucket, for a dream family vacation. When we first visited the island last year, I knew I wanted to return (as soon as possible) this summer. It is truly a magical place unlike no other. If you’ve never been to the island It is at the top of my list of places to visit in the US.

JPFCO thinks of everything. They found us a home beyond our wildest dreams: walking distance to town, boy themed rooms including a playroom, and a pool setting that felt like something out of Cottages and Gardens. We all wanted to send for our things in CT and stay forever! 14 Old Westmoor, which is available for rent and for sale, is perfect if you’re traveling by yourselves, or with family. The house is divided in a way that everyone can spend quality time together and also have privacy when they want. Perfect for entertaining friends or in-laws!

FAMILY FIRST

From the moment we arrived, the house was set up for family time. The current owners have three boys so Luke and Harry were over the moon when they saw the surfer themed bedroom and an amazing loft playroom filled with toys. My favorite discovery was the bucket bike. I’ll never forget riding with the boys into town for lunch and then racing back in the rain.

While the boys were napping one afternoon I took a 30-minute soak in this incredible bathtub. It was two days into our vacation and it was great to stop and think about our time so far.
