I have been in need of an underwear upgrade! After reading that they’re supposed to be replaced every 6 months to a year…it was time lol. I found this set from my favorite brand Cosabella and was waiting for it to go on sale!I also bought this pack of three.

I’ve always loved this braided gold necklace. This is a classic style thats currently on trend but never going away. Wear it with your t-shirt and jeans with a cardigan or throw it on over a dress with a simple neckline. It can be worn casual or dressy.

My favorite under $70 sunglasses sold out in the tan color but they are still available in black AND just released in tortoise! they are such a flattering frame, not too oversized, a slight cat-eye, and I think they look good on every face (my mom wore them the other day and they were great on her).

These are arguably the most flattering pair of denim I own. I cut the hem on mine which is why mine has a frayed edge (you can see how I did on my Instagram reels). They are under $100 and will just wear so well overtime. the fabric is a little stiffer then your classic jean so I suggest sizing up one size. Trust me…the low stretch means they never get baggy and remain SO flattering (especially from behind!).

FALL IN LOVE WITH THESE DRESSES

I love wearing dresses (I may or may not have already started a post with that statement) and I especially love when you can wear them all year round. I posted this insider tip on my Instagram a few days ago: for colder months layer leggings and a thermal top under our maxi dress for extra warmth. If the top is sleeveless, layer a cardigan over the dress followed by a coat. I discovered this brand about a year and a half ago and i’m obsessed with everything they create. Since then they have become a cult favorite of celebrities, stylists, and influencers. You really can’t go wrong with any of their pieces. I would suggest sizing down (especially in the tops). How would I describe this brand? Bohemian elegant :)

On another note, I’ve started doing some Thanksgiving styling for a few clients and love this dress! Also loving this style. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend! Ours is going to be a combination of work, house projects, birthday and parties!

EASY SUMMER STYLE

A HUGE announcement over here!! In January of 2017 I launched The Girl Guide as a creative outlet and a place to share my style with clients and friends. During this time I was managing a full time schedule at work which also meant travel to New York City and beyond. With the arrival of Harrison in May of 2017 the past 18 months have been an adventure to say the least! Last month I decided it was time to say goodbye to my career in fashion as I knew it and take a huge leap of faith in something bigger, myself! This means I will be dedicating all of my time to The Girl Guide and styling. The last two weeks have been filled with emotion (not going to lie fear has been the number one) but I am so excited for whats to come. Thank you for all of your support up until now and I hope you'll come along with me on this journey! #GIRLBOSS

I bought this shirtdress last month and I've worn it three times already! I also found this almost identical version here and here. When Frank and I went to Rhode Island for a last minute anniversary day trip a couple of weeks ago, I rolled it up into my beach bag in case I need a dress change and I did! Happy almost holiday weekend! I'm having a small pity part for myself over here this week. I just found out yesterday that I need to have one of my wisdom teeth removed as soon as possible (the pain has not been fun!) and our Memorial Day trip has been cancelled because of some pretty bad weather on its way to Florida. I definitely had a why me? moment which I now feel guilty about because its just a trip and its not the end of the world. SO we will be hanging at home and I'm trying to figure out something special to do for Frank this Saturday night for our 6 year wedding anniversary:)

THIS SEASON'S EARRINGS

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I learned that patience is a VIRTUE after 3+ days with the kiddos sans Frank. I feel like a wimp/failure admitting it but its HARD. Especially when you're not used to being home all the time. Personally, my thought has always been that going to work is easier but I guess its just about what you're used to. And I'm a doer...even though I know I set myself up for crying and meltdowns taking my kids out to lunch at 2pm when they should be napping...we end up having a great time. Sure I'm exhausted today but it was all worth it. At the end of this month I'll be leaving my "corporate" job for something much more flexible (working for myself 100%) but even more challenging. I'm not sure if thill will make me a much more scheduled mom but I have a feeling it will. We shall see!!

I recently received these gorgeous earrings from Hart Haggerty and loved them instantly. I have the beach topknots and love the color. The quality is great and I was shocked when say that they were $58! Since my style is usually pretty classic and simple, I'm always adding a statement earring for a little extra. Whether you're wearing a maxi dress or just a white tee and jeans, a chic earring is the perfect addition for the season.

I can't believe Easter is only two days away and its already April! Time is flying! Dressing for Spring holidays and events can be tough because the weather is so unpredictable in April and May. I always suggest investing in a pretty Spring coat in a neutral color that is versatile and can take you through till the warmer months. I've been using this trench a lot and I like that I can wear it during the day with my sneakers or throw it over a dress. And its on SALE! UNDER 100 - GETTING BACK TO THE GYM

Three years and two babies later I'm finally ready to head back into the gym. When I was pregnant with Luke I pictured myself 8 weeks post-partum - jogging around the park pushing a Bob stroller with one hand and an iced tea in the other. A girl can dream!! Well that never happened and now I'm a little embarrassed to admit how long its been since I really exercised. Hence the inspiration for this under $100 roundup. Slight disclaimer today: these sneaks and this pair of wireless headphones are under $150 but I wanted to include them because they were a recent purchase (gifting myself for Mother's Day) and I LOVE them both! Is my gym journey something you would like me to share? HOW I GOT INTO BLOGGING + UPDATE YOUR WARDROBE

Hi friends! You may have seen bloggers posting their 5 things you may not know about me over the last couple weeks. Personally I loved learning more about the ladies I follow and after I did it on my Instagram stories I realized there was an opportunity to share these things with my blog readers as well. I receive a lot of questions on Instagram about how and why I started my blog so I wanted to share that too!

I officially started my blog in January of 2011 (see archives!). Frank and I were dating and living together in New York and I was working for Ralph Lauren. I loved it! At the time many of today's biggest bloggers were just starting out...my favorites were Man Repeller and Atlantic Pacific. For 9 months I blogged almost everyday! Looking back some months there were 32 posts! I can't even imagine that today. People ask me why I stopped and I laugh out loud (at myself) - I felt like I was too busy! I guess its all relative but I had a fast paced job, a boyfriend, and a social life and it just felt like I couldn't keep up. The follow up question I always get is "do you regret it?" and my answer is no. Seven years later I love the perspective that I have. I've been working in the fashion industry for almost a decade and I have a passion today that I don't think I had then. The funny thing is now I REALLY have no time! But I also really love what I do and I want it. Kids or no kids you have to love having a blog, creating content, styling, etc. because the hours are long and the majority of the time its not glamourous. So here we are today - The Girl Guide is my third baby, my creative outlet, and my passion poured into pictures and posts. I think its also important to say that my favorite part of blogging is YOU! The readers...I live for your feedback, commentary, suggestions, and questions...so keep them coming!

I was never really a hat girl until I bought my first one from Hat Attack a couple of years ago. It was similar to this style and I lived in it last Fall/Winter. If you're looking for something to take you from city to country its perfect! I also love this style.
